Rooster – you’ve heard about “Rooster” if you’ve been to an Ortho doc to discuss your arthritic knee. But this protein may have even greater options in the area of AD.
I just stumbled on a few related articles that may direct attention to the healing potential for Hyaluronic Acid to be used therapeutically in the TX of Alzheimer’s Disease. In the following article, it was found that high molecular weight HA destroys P. Gingivalis in sites of infection (in the mouth). Lower weighted HA has no affect, and could possibly even actually exacerbate an infection:
Summary of this abstract
This study aimed to investigate the effect of several molecular weights of Hyaluronic acid (30, 300 and 1300 kDa) on P. gingivalis-induced inflammatory and wound-healing responses in human gingival fibroblasts (HGFs). The results showed that P. gingivalis and HA exhibited no toxicity to the HGFs. The 1300 kDa HA inhibited P. gingivalis-induced IL-1β, IL-6, IL-8, IL-4 and IL-10 production in a dose-dependent manner, while the 30 and 300 kDa HA didn’t have an effect. This study suggests that high molecular weight Hyaluronic Acid may have beneficial effects on periodontal inflammation and oral wounds.
Here’s more on what HA is and where this “fountain of youth” protein is found naturally in our bodies:
Summary of Overview Information complete information can be found at: ( https://www.webmd.com/vitamins/ai/ingredientmono-1062/hyaluronic-acid )
Hyaluronic acid [HA] is naturally present in the human body. It is found in the highest concentrations in fluids in our joints and in our eyes. As a medicine, HA is either made by in the lab by using bacteria or it is extracted from rooster combs.
